The Windstar Hotel emerged from a passion for preserving the rich history of Carolina Beach through art—specifically, postcards.

Collaborating with the Federal Point Historic Preservation Society and local historians, we curated a collection of vintage postcard images of Carolina Beach that adorn this Unique Boutique hotel.

Our community involvement and need to share the town’s history led us to be Presenting Sponsor and Official Hotel of the Carolina Beach Centennial. We hope that the CB 100 showcases the heritage, and all the future potential, Carolina Beach has to offer.

We had a great stay at The Windstar! The front desk staff were so kind and made it easy to add on another night. The location is great- it’s convenient to get to Publix and many restaurants, as well as the beach. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We especially enjoyed the continental breakfast. We will be back!

I would have to really get picky to find something wrong with this hotel. Stayed for a week and I have zero complaints. Staff were always pleasant and engaging. Rooms were clean. Adequate parking. Standard breakfast daily. Will definitely be reserving a room here again for my next visit.

The foyer is spacious and modern and the rooms are comfortable and clean. There is also a pool which is great to lounge around. The establishment is ideally situated in Carolina Beach close to the beach and Kure Beach. Wilmington is not too far away. Best of all were the staff who were so nice.
